CARING FOR THE CATS
Catfé Māo Broadway Vet
The cats' wellbeing comes first.
Our team monitors each cat's appetite, activity and behaviour. We also work with Broadway Vet for health checks and veterinary care when needed. Cats have space to rest whenever they choose.

Cats choose when to interact
Visitor pets are not permitted in the upstairs cat lounge. Maggie Bakery downstairs welcomes leashed cats and dogs, or pets secured in suitable carriers.
Our cats often nap around 2–4 pm. Visits continue as usual, but the cats may prefer to rest rather than play.

On Auckland public holidays and observed dates, tickets, combos and reserved extra sessions attract a 15% surcharge. The booking calendar highlights those dates and shows the adjusted price immediately. Weekly Passes cannot be used on those dates.

Weekly Passes cost NZ$95, with 5 available each week. Buy and register a regular pass in-store, or choose a Weekly Pass gift online when gift sales are open. Gift passes must be activated by our team for a named holder and an available week before booking.

Every cat deserves a chance to feel at home.
We opened Catfé Māo in 2023 with a simple idea: help people get to know rescue cats and support their care and adoption in everyday life.
A safe place to land. A chance to start again.
Many of our cats have come from the streets or families who could no longer care for them. We provide a safe place, regular meals, daily care and veterinary support while they settle in at their own pace.
Some cats find adoptive homes, while others stay with us long-term. We always put their wellbeing ahead of visitor interaction.

Bambi
Bambi is a pretty calico girl who takes a little time to trust new faces, then shows her softer side.
Bambi joined us in September 2026 alongside her brother Orange. She can be wary of unfamiliar cats and people, and she may hiss when she feels uncertain. A little patience goes a long way: once she feels safe, she settles and becomes more relaxed. She and Orange are especially close.
棒棒是个慢热的三花长毛女孩，熟悉之后，就会慢慢露出温柔的一面。
棒棒在 2026 年 9 月和哥哥橘子一起加入猫咖。面对不熟悉的人或猫咪时，她会先观察，有时还会哈气，其实只是想给自己一点安全距离。等到慢慢熟悉环境，她就会放松下来。她和橘子的感情特别好。

Our team reviews each application and gets in touch if there may be a good match. Please allow up to three weeks.
After approval, sign the agreement, pay the adoption fee and arrange collection with the team.

We work with Broadway Vet to support our rescue cats’ health, including veterinary checks and further care as needed. Bringing a cat home is a big commitment, and we want the whole family to feel supported.
